Now residing in Costa Rica, Yemaya will be making a rare appearance, here in the Willamette Valley, on Wednesday, August 5th to grace us with what is sure to be a beautiful and thrilling performance. Appearing at the Corvallis Belly dance guild showcase (The Old World Deli) the program begins at 8pm, is family friendly and free to attend. Don’t miss this opportunity and inspiration!
The Workshop
Join Yemaya the Saturday after for a two and a half hour workshop as she leads us through her killer shimmy drills, tight technique and juicy drum solo combinations.
"Beat the Drum" will be held at the Odd Fellows (south) Hall. The doors open at 1:00 pm and 15 minutes will be allowed for at the door registration (cash only at the door).

Yemaya was raised in an environment of Middle Eastern dance, and has been performing throughout the USA since the age of four. She has devoted her life to learning and practicing Arabic dance, and continues the lifelong pursuit of this beautiful art form.Yemaya shares her gift of dance not only through her amazing stage presence and grace, but also through a whirlwind of dazzling technique, captivating veil work, endless shimmies and incredible improvisation.
Yemaya is a seasoned and respected instructor as well. She brings a bounty of experience and knowledge to the classroom and is well known for her compassionate and intricate teaching tecnique that produces quality dancers.
Yemaya’s mesmerizing style of dance is coveted all over the pacific northwestern United States and she is now exhibiting her talent internationally.
