OrientalDancer.net was founded by Salome in 2003. Initially a presentational website, Salome and her team soon widened the scope to the field at large, covering topics that surround dance and music, inspired by, and from, the near and middle east.

OrientalDancer.net expanded further, incorporating a vital discussion forum and global instructors directory. The success of both sources resulted in promotion to their own platforms, bellydanceclasses.net and bellydanceforums.net.

OrientalDancer.net continues in its mission to be a trusted source with focus on the promotion, appreciation and study of the field through a vast library, interviews, lyric translations and up to date news of the belly dance world.
