The age of technology brings many wonderful gifts, among them access to a plethora of music. You can search, download and play music of any genre from the convenience of your computer. If you are not entirely computer literate it's easy to feel lost on the world wide web. Even if you're savvy, finding exactly what you need can be a time consuming task. I created "Free Music download" as a resource that will connect you and the world of online music.

Music download - what is it?

A song is saved as a file on a server. A server is a computer connected to the internet that is accessible to internet users. Thus the song file is available for download. Free music download - is it really free?

Consumers are always skeptical of the word “free” and rightly so. Some sites offer free music samples - a group of songs that are available for free download but access to other music on the site requires a monthly fee, member’s fee or payment per download. On corporate sites, read the fine print to determine if there are hidden costs. However large sites exist, like Kaza, which truly offer all music free of charge. There are also innumerable personal web-sites that host collections of individual’s favorite songs. The size of the collection isn’t comparable to the corporate sites but if you are looking for a specific song you are bound to find it.
