"Belly Dance Workshops with Salome, Grand Lady Poo-bah of the Exotic Order of Loyal Oriental Dancers"

Arms & Hands

Salome will be teaching a variety of striking frames with oriental stylization, that define space on and around the body. Learn how to create intense feeling and mood with frame and gesture alone.

She will break down movement initiated by the arms and hands as well as fun accents and punctuations, subtle and loud.

Salome will share exercises that will stretch, soften and increase dexterity in the fingers and hands. As well as break down the proper posture to create effortless arms.

Salome will lead you through creating beautiful lines with the hands and arms. She will work with an Oriental port de bras that will assist a dancer at any level refine their lines for poised and perfect arms.



Creating Combinations

Join us for this workshop where we evaluate the concept of combinations from the ground up: what are they, why do we use them, how are they created, what makes a good versus a poor combination, what part of the music are they set to etc. etc. etc.

While we WILL learn Salome's combinations to practice her approach to combo creating, this workshop is also geared for you to take the information into your personal dance training and explore your OWN 'voice' and dance personality with solid tools.
