Desert Dance Festival Welcomes Aziza

Scarab Productions announces the addition of Aziza to the 2007 DDF workshop and performer line-up on Saturday and Sunday at September 22nd and 23rd!

Aziza's addition to the festival line-up was announced this month at Cairo Nights with Aziza (a Bellydance Odyssey Production event). As a world class instructor and entertainer, her international appeal and demand continue to increase and she is considered one of the finest dancers in the art today. Aziza is recognized for her innovative teaching style (which is highlighted by her clarity and approachability) and her elegant interpretation and presentation of the dance.

As part of DDF's evolution, Dunia, the festival founder, and her committee continue to focus on finding new artists to bring their love of the dance and give new flavor and workshops for fans to enjoy. When asked about Aziza's addition to the line-up, Dunia said; "What better way to celebrate 22 years and an exciting new location than to have Aziza join our 2007 family!" Dunia is proud to present Aziza as a part of the new Desert Dance Festival. Join us for a weekend of workshops and a Gala performance at this year's event!

About Aziza:

Aziza currently splits her time between the Pacific Northwest and Montreal, Quebec, Canada. Dancing since the age of three, Aziza has a strong background in classical ballet. After twelve years of ballet study and performance, Aziza began experimenting with other dance forms including African, Modern, Lyrical Jazz, and Tahitian. In 1988 she was introduced to Middle Eastern Dance and found it to be the ideal medium. Since that time, Aziza has devoted her life to learning, performing, and sharing this ancient art form. -- www.desertdance.com
