Belly good fun....

THERE'S a whole lotta shaking going on when the women of Humber Court take to the floor for belly-dancing lessons.

Age is no barrier as they shun more sedate activities for women in their 70s and 80s and get those hips swaying.

The ladies, who live at the retirement complex in Humber Road, Stoke, Coventry, were treated to a demonstration of the traditional Turkish dance earlier this year and it all snowballed from there.

They quickly mastered the art and have even entered competitions.

Barbara Hickey, aged 81, a former post office counter clerk from Willenhall, Coventry, said: "I like to dance anyway and the exercise is great.

"It is fun with a capital F. It's a very social activity."

But does the exotic dance entrance the men? Barbara laughed: "Not at our age!"
