Rumors in the Egyptian entertainment community claim that controversial belly dancer Dina is suffering from a serious illness. The dancer suddenly fainted on the set of her upcoming television drama and was admitted to a hospital.
The director and producer of the drama have granted Dina a leave of absence to recover.
The drama titled “Khadrat Al Mutaham Abi” (My Father the Accused) stars prominent Egyptian actor Nour El Sharif, whom along with the remaining cast and crew were sympathetic towards Dina and wished her a fast recovery.
Dina plays the role of a music teacher in the new drama.
Dina recently paid a visit to Egyptian singer Tamer Husni in prison. Tamer is serving a jail sentence for forging legal papers in an effort to avoid military service.
Dina’s visit lifted Tamer’s spirits as she assured him that he has not been forgotten by his fans and his friends from inside and outside the entertainment world.
Dina told Tamer that her visit was delayed due to her hectic schedule filled with different dance performances in Egypt and around the Arab world.
